MIXING SERVICES FAQs

Be sure to LABEL and export your audio files all at the FULL LENGTH of the song.

Remove any plugins unless they are being used to create a specific effect that you want to be included in the final song.

Place all your audio files into a folder labeled like this "ARTIST NAME- SONG NAME".

Zip or Compress that folder if necessary and head over to the Upload Your Project Page.

Pro Tools Sessions (.ptx), WAV or AIFF that are at least 16bit, 44.1kHz.

Great question. Generally, I have the artists send me over a “rough mix” or just a current version of the song with any effects or ideas you have for the direction and vibe of the song. That gives me a good idea of what you’re looking for.

When you are ready to begin the mix, I’ll have you send me over all the individual audio tracks without any effects or plugins on them so that I can begin the mix from the cleanest possible point.

The only time I have people leave effects on the audio tracks is if they know they want that effect to sound exactly like the way they have it, and just need me to clean it up from there (like a chopped and screwed vocal effect or cool filter effect).

There is also a small questionnaire that you fill out when you place your order and send over the files to give me a better idea of the effects and direction you want to take the song.

In your DAW, make sure you have all of your tracks labeled something that makes sense. (Not just Audio 01, Audio 02, etc.)

If you have any creative mix ideas you want to be included in your mix (like cool delays or filtered voice effects on certain lines) be sure to include a reference mix.

Export the song out with effect plugins like reverbs or delays, and include this mix as a reference so I can see what you were going for.

Before sending the raw files to me, however, remove ALL plugins that you had in your session so I can better process the files from my end.

Try to send over your vocal stems as clean and raw as possible for the best results. If you have any creative mix ideas you want to be included in your mix (like cool delays or filtered voice effects on certain lines) be sure to include a reference mix.

I can take Pro Tools or Logic Pro X sessions but any other DAWs, I need each of the individual tracks exported as audio files.

I aim to have my mixes back to my clients within 48-72 hours. If scheduling does not allow those turnaround times, I will be sure to let you know when you submit your files.

Not a problem! I include 2 revisions with every mix to make any adjustments you may need. I also have you fill out a short form going over any requests you may have for the mix before we even begin to make sure I get your mix as close to perfect the very first time.

With every mix package you purchase, I include a free mastered version that you could release and be happy with.

With that being said, I am not a mastering engineer. Upon request, I can include an Un-Mastered version of a mix if you plan to use a different mastering engineer.

Absolutely! Music is the universal language.

I can indeed! I offer discounts on mixing multiple songs (5 or more). If you have a whole project to work on, please select the Project Mix when selecting which mix package you want.
